Our database (membership, registrations, and newsletter) is used solely by PWG Basel, which is a local Basel non-profit organisation. We are not part of a wider reaching organisation and therefore do not share our database nor any confidential information with outside parties.

 

 

How is your personal data collected?

 

Membership Application
We collect your personal data when you apply for membership or update an existing membership profile. We distinguish between mandatory data (as indicated on the application): your first and last name, username, and email address.

 

There is also non-mandatory data which you may or may not wish to give us as shown on our membership application: for example phone numbers, your profession, industry, etc. 

The disclosure of such data is absolutely voluntary.

 

Event & Workshop Registration

Registration for one of our events or workshops requires mandatory contact details: your first and last name, and email address.

 

Newsletter Subscription

Members are automatically added to our newsletter subscription list.

Non-members can sign up for our newsletter via our website. 

In both cases the data collected is: your first and last name, and email address.

 

 

How is your personal data used?

 

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

 

Membership

Managing our membership database, whether for profile updates, activating, suspending or deactivating a membership, etc.

 

Events & Workshops

• Coordinating and running our events and workshops.

• Listing event and/or workshop participants by name, but only with consent of the participant. When registering for an event or workshop, the participant will be asked if they wish their name to appear on our website for the event/workshop being attended.

• Marketing Communication

• Distribution of our newsletter to keep our members and non-members informed of membership topics, upcoming events and workshops, special offers, etc.

• Responding to any of your queries

• Follow-up with any individual for a specific reason
